FLASH NOTES: Cold Springs gained the lead after the top of the first when Fairview committed an error and also had three wild pitches with Heidi Nichols and Anna Rollo scoring.
A run was added to the Lady Eagles side of the scoreboard in the third on back to back to back singles by Black, Morgan Chasteen and Madelyn Pearl. It was Pearl's single that sent home courtesy runner Rollo to make it 3-0.
The Cold Springs fourth produced an RBI on a sacrifice bunt by Amelia Wren and an error when Nichols' fly ball to left was dropped, scoring Destinee Tucker for a 5-0 advantage.
Player under an hour and 15 minute time limit, Cold Springs survived a final inning comeback by Fairview.
Josie Farr produced two runs on a single, an RBI was recorded by a grounder from Tessa Buckelew and a run-scoring single off the bat of Sydni Hall.
Black was able to to get Callie Hicks to ground to second, forcing out Overton to end the battle at 6:04 p.m.
