FLASH NOTES: Cold Springs gave Meek a competitive first half, trailing 23-16 at intermission. The first three minutes of the third period served to be the determining factor in which the Tigers tallied 16 consecutive points to stretch the advantage to 39-16 and finish the process of breaking a 2-game losing streak.
Meek was 9-0 on the season until last weekend when the Tigers lost twice in the Oak Grove Tournament in Jefferson County.
Cold Springs never stopped playing hard after falling behind by more than 20 points in the third period.
Tim Willoughby's Eagles outscored the Tigers 23-16 in the game's final 13:00 with Hunter McClendon the top scorer in the contest, producing 20 points on a variety of shots from close range, including two baskets in transaction from one end to the other end of the floor.
McClendon plays the post position for the Eagles.
