FLASH NOTES: This is a huge test for Cullman. Bearcats have done well in the first half, posting three of four wins at Oliver Woodard Stadium. Now to stay near the top, the Bearcats must take down Pell City, in the first of two road games that will factor in for Cullman's opportunity to make the playoffs in Mark Britton's final season at his alma mater.
Cullman is 1-1 on the road. This is the first time the 'Cats have been to Pell City since the first round of the 2003 state playoffs.
A Cullman victory would give them a tiebreaker advantage over Pell City if they both finish with the same regional record.
The Panthers are playing on the home surface for the first time since September 8 when they were routed by Gardendale 53-7. Pell City is 1-1 at home in 2017.
