FAIRVIEW: 2-4, 0-4
HAYDEN: 3-4, 3-1
SERIES: Fairview 5-4
2016: Hayden 50-40
REGION 6 STANDINGS: Mortimer Jordan 4-0, Hayden 3-1, West Point 3-2, Curry 2-2, Corner 2-3, Springville 1-3, Fairview 0-4
FLASH NOTES: Three games remain for the Aggies for 2017. They can overturn a rough result thus far and help out a county rival.
An upset of Hayden with Hayden to lose the following week to Mortimer Jordan and West Point beating Curry on the 27th, West Point would jump to second place in the regional standings and play at home in the first round.
The Aggies played well last week in Curry, leading 3-0 at the half. But they allowed Curry to score a safety early in the third quarter and then add a touchdown, keeping the Aggies out of the end zone all night.
Fairview is winless in the region and winless at Dafford Smith Stadium this season. A victory over the Wildcats would propel George Redding by Smith as the winningest coach in Fairview history (66 victories).
The Aggies finish with two of their last three games on the turf of Smith Stadium. Hayden is seeking its second victory inside Cullman County this year. The Wildcats topped West Point 37-18 on September 8 as a visitor.
Hayden is good in the region at 3-1, but 0-3 outside regional play.
