FLASH NOTES: Good Hope encountered Decatur, getting control of the consolation game Tuesday afternoon by halftime with a 26-18 lead, thanks to 18 points in the second period.
The second half was dominated by Amanda Swann's Lady Raiders with 38 points, scoring 20 in the third and finishing it with 18 in the final period.
Good Hope used the combo of point guard Savanna Derrick and shooting guard Erika Woodall who combined for 30 points with Kate Kent getting 14 in the post.
The Lady Raiders' largest lead of the game came in the final seven seconds on a three-pointer from the left wing by Leyton Seal. Good Hope produced 56 points in the final three quarters and became the third school from Cullman County in the early part of the season to hand Decatur a defeat.
Good Hope had eight to earn scoring honors, with 16 by Woodall, Kent and Savanna Derrick 14 each, Seal with six, Abby Neighbors and Amber Sterling four and Rudi Derrick two.
Decatur was led by Ashley Townsend with 11 and Janeisha Mathews seven.
Up next for Good Hope: Vs. Colbert County/Hatton winner Wednesday 2:00 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.
