Game 1 West Point Christmas Classic
At Jim Boyd Gymnasium:
Brewer 12 16 14 10 - 52 (13-3)
Good Hope 7 14 7 18 - 46 (6-7)
BREWER: Zach Kodra 9, Landon Nelson 8, Tyler Peck 8
GOOD HOPE: Drew Maddox 20, Cole Maddox 16, Issac McDonald 8, Michael Lowe 2.
FLASH NOTES: Good Hope, having to play without 6'5" center Kallen Sharpton, who is recovering from an ankle injury, made the best of it, but a bad third quarter and 15 turnovers hurt the Raiders' quest in trying to stop Brewer's 11-game winning streak.
The Patriots have not lost since November 17 to rival Hartselle and had the Raiders down 12-7 after the first and 28-21 at the half.
A seven-point outing the third for Drew Adams' Raiders spelled trouble whe Doug Oldacre's Patriots put 14 on the board and moved the advantage to 42-28.
Good Hope kept fighting with shots going in the fourth from long distance, drawing within three points at 49-46 with 0:18 left on a trey by Drew Maddox.
But the comeback was put to rest when the Patriots scored three out of four from the line in the remaining 13 seconds to extend their winning streak.
