FLASH NOTES: Good Hope was looking good with a one-run lead through three innings as Hancock drove in Tyler Legg with a double in the first. Legg got into scoring position with a two-bagger himself.
Hancock held the Blue Devils in check until the fourth when they led off with a single, then had back to back walks that loaded the bases with nobody out.
After getting the first out, Hancock threw a passed ball that allowed the tieing run to score and a two-run single from Bullock sent Cordova on top for the first time at 3-1.
Brooks recorded a two-run single in the fifth, increasing the lead to 5-1 as Hancock was relieved by Austin Eakes with two outs in the inning.
Eakes pitched two and a third of scoreless ball with the Raiders trying to rally in the seventh.
Matt Dixon was safe on a fielding error, moved to second then to third on wild pitches and came home on a two-out double to left center by Zachary Bagwell.
But Legg was unable to extend the inning as he grounded out to send, ending the contest at 6:27 p.m.
Good Hope got six hits in the game against Holliday, but was unable to put together a solid inning vs. the left hander. The Raiders would leave six runners on base.
The series moves to Cordova for a doubleheader Thursday at 4:30. Good Hope needs to sweep the series in order to knock the Blue Devils out of the top spot of the area standings.
Good Hope's Matt Hancock delivers to a Cordova batter in the 2nd inning Tuesday.
