ROGERSVILLE - Seventeen teams are competing in the annual Keith Davis Memorial Girls Basketball Tournament at Lauderdale County High School.
Tournament host Lauderdale County played a doubleheader Wednesday, starting in the early afternoon defeating Phillips of Bear Creek 63-48, handing the Lady Bears their first loss of the season.
The 3A power ended the evening in the old gymnasium on the Lauderdale County campus crushing Alexandria 67-32.
Lauderdale County is 13-1 and back to winning with a three-game streak following a loss to 5A state champion Wenonah last week in the Spain Park Pre-Christmas Tournament.

FLASH NOTES: Phillips and Susan Moore entered the tournament undefeated, but suffered setbacks for the first time, sending both to the consolation bracket.
The best game of the day for round one was Wilson getting past Tanner in the old gym by the final of 60-56.
Belmont from Mississippi wiped out a 20-13 halftime deficit to Giles County, Tennessee in outscoring them 37-21 in the second half.
Priceville from Morgan County, clicked on all cylinders in leading Red Bay 38-19 at the half and never being challenged the rest of the evening.
