At Cullman Civic Center:
COLD SPRINGS: Tommy Youngblood - Coached football at Cold Springs 12 years, coached girls basketball, baseball, been teacher and administrator at Cold Springs 25 years.
CULLMAN: Lisa Hearin Alexander - 1978 Cullman graduate. Played basketball 2 years, tennis 3 years. Averaged 15.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game senior season. Lettered in basketball and tennis at the University of Montevallo.
CULLMAN: Pat Bryant - 1969 Cullman graduate. Played 3 years football, ran track for 4 years. Most valuable running back on 1968 football team. State track champion in 60-yard dash.
CULLMAN: Chad Shannon - 1993 Cullman graduate. Lettered in baseball, basketball, football and track. Baseball team captain 1993. Signed baseball scholarship with Huntingdon College. Coached baseball at Tuscaloosa County 6 years, Vinemont 2 years, assistant coach at Wallace State Community College 3 years.
FAIRVIEW: Windell Calloway - 1969 Fairview graduate. Attended St. Bernard College. Coached basketball at Fairview 30 years. Cullman county girls tournament champions 1982, 1983. Won county basketball championships as freshman coach twice, JV once. Began cross country program at Fairview.
GOOD HOPE: Rodney Trimble - 1966 Cullman graduate. Attended Calhoun College on a track scholarship. Attended Jacksonville State University on track scholarship, was MVP in 1970 season. Coached track at Good Hope High School starting in 1977.
HANCEVILLE: Rodney Terry - 1978 Hanceville graduate. Member of 1977 football team that finished 11-1, reaching the 3A semifinals. All-county football. Assistant football coach at Hanceville 1983-89. Coached girls basketball and track at Hanceville High School.
HOLLY POND: Donald Reid - 1966 Holly Pond graduate. Attended Calhoun College on track scholarship. County champion in pole vault, runner-up in high jump and broad jump. Attended St. Bernard College on a baseball scholarship.
VINEMONT: Phillip Mabry - 1980 Vinemont graduate. Member of first ever football team at Vinemont that made the state playoffs in 1979. All-county football, all-area football, co-captain, most valuable lineman. Teacher at Vinemont School 24 years, coached the football team for 5 years.
WEST POINT: Patrick Cleghorn - 1987 West Point graduate. All-County basketball 1984-87, all-area basketball 1986-87, Cullman County tournament champions 1983, 1986, 1987. Played in Cullman County East-West All-Star Game senior season. Helped West Point reach the Elite Eight in 1987.
WALLACE STATE: Stan Narewski - Coached track at Wallace State Community College 1995-2008. NJCAA Track national champions 1997. NJCAA National Coach of the year 1997, 2000, 2007. Resumed cross country program at Wallace State in 2016.

FLASH NOTES: An outstanding group of 2018 seniors received scholarships from their respective community for excellence in academics as well as their athletic skills.
McClendon was All-County in basketball and member of the Sportspage All-Performance team, Wren excelled in softball for Cullman, hitting a home run in her final at bat at home vs. Hanceville April 24.
McKelvy is the 2018 Cullman County golf tournament champion with a scholarship to Wallace State. Kent excelled in basketball and volleyball at Good Hope and accepted a volleyball scholarship to Wallace State.
Marks was all-county in volleyball at Holly Pond for three seasons, Morris earned the Joe Shults Award at the Cullman County basketball tournament, was the Sportspage player of the year and has committed to play at Wallace State.
Mami excelled as the AHSAA Cross Country 2A state champion last November and won three events in the sectional meet at Corner the same weekend she received the scholarship award for St. Bernard Prep.
Calvert was volleyball team captain at West Point for the 2017 season while Smith participated in tennis at West Point and qualified for the AHSAA tournament three consecutive years.
