Good Hope was superior on both sides of the ball, just like the week before in a jamboree assignment with Susan Moore.
The stakes were much higher, being this was the season opener and a chance to get into the win column for the first time since the end of the 2015 season.
The Raiders ran roughshod over the Eagles by halftime with 150 yards, 78 coming from Dixon, 38 by Quick and 30 from Hancock.
Quick displayed a good touch throwing the ball, completing five of seven in the second quarter for 64 yards and a TD to Carlton. Carlton was on the receiving end of four passes in the first half for 54 yards and the score from 26 yards out.
Vinemont was not successful moving the ball against the Raiders. Stephen Robinson's Eagles had a yard rushing in the first half, threw for 21 yards and managed just two first downs.
A bad snap on a punt attempt dropped the Eagles at their 39, leading to a Good Hope score in the second. The Eagles had three punts in the second that only managed an average of 18 yards.
Good Hope stuck to the running game in the second half, gaining 114 yards in the third and 56 by the reserves during the fourth quarter.
Dixon had a 61-yard run that led to him scoring two plays later from the one to make it 35-0 with Twilley's conversion. Dixon finished with 158 yards by the end of the third.
Bagwell ran three times in the quarter and scored for the Raiders to hold a comfortable advantage with one period left for everybody to get a chance and play in the opener and shut out the Eagles for the first time since 2003.
This was Good Hope's 30th victory all time in 46 meetings with the Eagles, in a series that began in 1970.
Vinemont carried a drive from its 45 to the Good Hope 31 to start the final period, trying to score. Two runs by Dalton Dinkle accounted for 13 yards, but the Eagles lost the chance to punch it in for six when Jack Hill's fourth down pass from the Good Hope 10 to Hudson Wood was dropped in the left side of the end zone.
The Raiders took over with 8:22 to play, going on to run out the clock, getting four first downs thanks to effort of reserve backs William Flynt, Eli Pugh, Hudson Leverett combining for 54 yards on 12 carries.
Good Hope got 429 yards of offense, netting 320 by the run. The Raiders had 19 first downs, but suffered with 11 penalties for 90 yards. Three major distance penalties took three touchdowns off the scoreboard.
Vinemont managed just 57 yards with 33 on the ground and 24 through the air, gaining only four first downs. Wood caught three passes from Hill for 21 yards, Cameron Carter had the longest run of a 17-yard gain in the third quarter. The Eagles were flagged eight times for 48 yards.
Dixon carried 17 times with Quick completing eight of 13 passes for 109 yards and a TD.
