FLASH NOTES: West Point was very superior vs. Vinemont, finishing the first quarter 10 of 14 from the floor and enjoying a comfortable 27-3 advantage.
By halftime, the Lady Warriors had reached the 50-point plateau, completing the half at 48 percent on 16 of 34 shots, four of 10 from long range.
Coach Richie Penn continued to rotate his lineup in the second half with the game getting completed in the final period by the running clock rule of the AHSAA.
West Point allowed Vinemont only five field goals made for the contest, outrebounded the Lady Eagles 35-11, put out 12 assists and forced numerous turnovers.
Besides the good shooting from Miriam Oldacre, Lexi Shadix connected on five of eight attempts and Olivia Ball was four of eight. Molly Pendley came off the bench to be solid on the boards for the Lady Warriors with eight rebounds, six defensively.
