FLASH NOTES: West Point has gone undefeated so far in road games this year, winning at Hamilton, Springville and Fairview two weeks ago.
The Warriors carry confidence into this Friday, playing a Good Hope team that is 1-3 on the home field and has two weeks at James Shabel Stadium the last three seasons.
This is a game for the Warriors in trying to get together a solid run to end the regular season. Right now, Don Farley's team is in the postseason as they have a 3-2 record in 5A, Region 6, 3rd in the standings behind Mortimer Jordan and Hayden.
A lot can happen that can effect the Warriors this week if Fairview upsets Hayden and Hayden gets defeated by Mortimer Jordan the following Friday.
West Point can help itself with a win at Curry on the 27th with Hayden losing twice that would send them to second place in the regional standings.
The Warriors have been a tough opponent to deal with in county games. Under Farley, the Warriors are 6-1 and have not lost to a county school since 2013.
A win would have West Point averaging five victories per season since 2014, the Warriors were 6-4 in the previous two seasons.
West Point wants to erase a tough 41-7 loss last week to Mortimer Jordan on homecoming.
This is a game for pride and the chance to stay undefeated as a road team and against county teams for West Point.
