FLASH NOTES: Hunter Persall did not start the game after getting bruised by a physical Mortimer Jordan team last week.
But once the ball was in his hands, Persall looked like the normal running back West Point had enjoyed seeing in 2017.
An 87-yard run down the left sidelines late in the second quarter broke a close game open with the Raiders as West Point led 17-0.
Then the Warriors took advantage of a 15-yard punt by the Raiders' Matt Dixon, setting up their final series of the half at the Good Hope 37 with 2:38 to go in the stanza.
A 22-yard pass by Rylan Jones to Steven Rodriguez put West Point at the Good Hope 4. Then the Raiders were penalized for a pass interference in the end zone, moving the ball closer toward the goal line.
Persall ran up the middle before time elapsed and the Warriors' 17 points in the second quarter, plus 284 yards of offense by halftime, sent them to the locker room with a commanding 24-0 advantage.
Getting good field position to begin the third quarter, the Warriors romped 52 yards for another TD as Persall caught an 11-yard pass from Jones. West Point moved out to a 31-0 cushion, with one more TD drive waiting to take place in the third.
A 31-yard pass by Jones to Kolton Easterwood placed the football at the Good Hope four, followed by a late hit on the play. Brandon Woods took it in from the one and the Warriors carried a 37-0 lead to the final quarter.
West Point finished with 396 yards of offense, 194 on the ground by Persall with Jones completing 11 of 15 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Persall caught three balls for 22 yards and a score, Moore was on the end of two throws for 40 yards and a TD, Rodriguez caught one for 22 and Easterwood gathered in a 31-yard reception.
The Warriors netted 15 first downs while they allowed the Raiders only three, all in the first half.
West Point's defense clamped down on the Raiders, allowing them just nine yards in the second half with zero first downs. Good Hope gained only 77 yards on the Warriors all night, never getting the ball any time inside the West Point 20.
Good Hope lost QB Bailey Quick to a shoulder injury in the third quarter and RB/LB Matt Dixon was taken off the field in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury.
West Point is 4-0 on the road in 2017 with a game next Friday at Curry to close out 5A, Region 6 play. The Warriors are 5-3 for the season.
Good Hope finishes at home with one win in five tries. The Raiders are 3-5 and will play at Dora next week, then conclude the season with a November 3 trip to Hanceville.
Hunter Persall takes a pass from Rylan Jones and turns the corner for 11-yard TD in the 3rd quarter of Friday's game at Good Hope.
